This is Brian's Grill
To the right you will find Brian's Grill, a magnificent silver spectrum of grilling love. We used it a lot last year but have not used it much this year. Now that the weather is nice I was thinking it would be time to start grilling.
Yesterday husband informed me that there was a bird in the grill. Since he told me this late at night and right before my passing out time, I thought he meant just found one hanging out... I didn't understand what he meant until I checked today.
A sweet, loving black bird made a home for herself and her 4 babies within the grill. Every time our back door opens she flies out the back, ever pushing the comments from my friend Jorie and my Mother that we really should get a cover.
My favorite part is how the little bird has CRAMMED it all to the one side so when they are born we will have to be super careful because they will fall right out. They are on the far right corner toward the front. I think it is charming and very funny that (1) we were so busy with our lives that we didn't even notice the f;urry of work going on to fill the grill with the dead grass and twigs and (2) the commitment it must have taken because my dogs are fast and they have been trying to catch these birds for awhile now without success.
So I guess we won't be grilling for a while.
Hope all are having a happy day.
Kristin

Kristin--
My husband is so bad about leaving his grill uncovered, even though he has a nice cover. I can't wait to show him this and say "see, this is why you should do what I say and keep it covered!." (ha, ha)
