Could I Have Loved Cake??

I am going to go with a HUGE no.  Sarah is one, and she has been coming to my studio since she was born.  I am pretty sure it was just to keep up with her big sister Molly, who also has been coming here since she was born.

We thought "Hey, let's do a smash-cake session - that sounds great! Let's get a cool cake with wild colors and let this sweet little one dig in..." Little did we know Sarah was thinking "umm...NO!" She really didn't touch it. We tried to trick her into even looking at the cake by putting it on a stool but alas, that did not convince her that it would taste any better. So finally we said  "WE'RE hungry...lets eat it!!" and so we did.

The hardest part about this session was keeping the camera steady. I couldn't stop laughing.  Her daddy was standing behind me with full narration of the session, and what his daughter was thinking.  My favorite part is when they all started to sing "She's a Maniac" to compliment Sarah's leg warmers.  Which I found super sweet and a little Flashdance-rish :)
