Baby Alaina

First off, this kid is just a cool kid.  I have known her family for about two years now and they are very fun to hang out with.

I love to say this little one's name - it is just so sweet. Okay, so baby Alaina HATES being cold. I can tell you this because whenever she was swaddled or held close, she was cool. As soon as you made her naked or took away the blanket, she was like "Ummm... I don't think so, Crazy. Give that back!!"

So this is what her mother and I came up with. Those are real potted Gerbers and I am so happy her Mom got them because this looks cool.  This image just makes me happy.

Okay, so we are in the midst of doing many seniors' pictures and I have had the privilege to meet some AWESOME young women - I can't wait for a guy to sign up (if ya missed it, that is a hint!)

These two lovely ladies came this week and last week. Both ROCKED! I had so much fun just doing my thing and running around like crazy. Here are May and Sarah, both sweet adults about to be in their senior year!!!!

   

Hey, you're gonna have a baby!

This sweet couple came in not too long ago and I am now just getting a chance to post some pictures from the session.

Their babe is due very soon and I am so excited to meet their little one.  When you're hanging out with them, you can tell they love each other. Kelly would be doing her thing and talking to me, and her husband would be just smiling looking at her. BUT, if you had him as the focus, he would put on his best picture face :) 

It was really cool to meet you both - you're gonna be GREAT parents!!

A new senior

Okay, Miss Casey, when we started the session at 7:45 this morning I didn't think it would be so HOT. I was wrong :)  Sorry 'bout that. I am just so happy that it didn't rain!!!

This young, bright woman is a treat to hang out with.  She is funny and very down to earth. We had fun and she let me torture her with tons of changes and moving around.  We started outside, then worked our way back to the studio.

There were so many to pick that I couldn't. I just grabbed a few.

New session

So I have this little friend named Jade.  She has a sweet brother, Octave. Their mother and I have known each other for a long time now. I ADORE her family. Her mom was one of the first people that believed in me with my photography.  She is one of the best mothers I know.  Her kids are the most charming, well behaved young people that they light up a room with their sweetness. They are also able to switch between French and English without a second thought.  To get Jade to focus on me during our shoot, I would ask her to say words in French. It is so pretty to hear her talk.

I only had time to grab and work on one pic (sorry Lud, I will get more of Mr. Octave up soon). Their Mum commissioned me to do altered art of each of them. I am so excited I started to do some touches to this one but am nowhere near where it will end up. I just fell in love with it.

I just love how it feels like a story. I want to ask her what she is reading :)
