New Entry-Awaiting!

- Surprise!
It is with sweet anticipation that we are entering this contest. We have seen
Kristin's work through our friends and their families , showcasing babies and their
own little personalities, and have longed for the day when we would be blessed to
have our own moments captured with the whisper's touch. Although it has been a long
time coming, we will soon have official reason to visit the studio! It will come as
a surprise to many that David & I have begun the process of an adoption and will
have a baby of our own in early August and this contest comes at the perfect time to
prepare for her first pictures! As for Pancake Pete and Patty, they like surprises
too! Here are a few random snapshots of each other with the Pancakes hiding in the
background. We really like surprises & can't wait to whatever the upcoming months
have in store!

The entry that slipped past my email- 600 pics

Pete and Patty’s undocumented adventures…….

 

As always, I was SO stoked about one of Kristin’s contests, so on the first day, Pete and Patty were “born” into the Bagwell household.  Taylor and I had the best time coloring each of the kids…we got SO carried away that we colored about 10 in all (I have always wanted a large family!)  – and they were the best dressed might I add – very colorful.  Taylor and I had a very eventful month planned and talked of all the cool places we were going to take Pete and Patty, and honestly, they were pumped as well.   

Truth be told, Pete and Patty have had the time of their lives and have gone on a weekend adventures since they entered this lovely world – they have made appearances at the Annual Fly-In at the Scottsboro Airport, Orange Beach, Point Mallard, IMAX theater, the Tennessee River, and numerous family cook-outs!!  They have smashed waves, played in the sprinkles, danced, fished, rode motorcycles, worked on motorcycles, watched movies, shot rocket balloons and even went swimming!  However, Pete and Patty managed to somehow evade the over 600 pictures that I have taken over the past month….pretty sure they were napping or off partying on their own when picture time came around.  But I did manage to get a couple.  One Taylor is so very happy to be sharing his swing with Patty, and the other not so much.  I also included some pics of the escapades they joined us on, but somehow escaped the pictures.  You all know how children can be! ;)

We have so much fun as a family!!!  Pete and Patty are so happy they joined the fam!

New Entry-Pete does not like Tea

As I type this, I'm hearing Anna Lee in her bed at nap time, saying..."Help, help!  I can't find Pancake Patty!  Where is she?"  I take a break and go in, and as Anna Lee was burying herself in her imaginary tunnel in her quilt, she managed to lose Patty somewhere in the depths of that tunnel way at the foot of her bed.  I helped rescue Patty, and fortunately, I think she is now showing Pete and Patty how a good little girl can lie down and take a nap in a big girl bed!

 We have had a really good time creating Pete and Patty, and now my little girl has two imaginary friends that we have had to share snack with, (yes, they get their own bowls and sippy cups), teach how to go pee pee in the potty (something else we're working on), had a tea party with...Pete doesn't like tea, by the way, read books too, and even let baby Shelby play with Patty for a little while after explaining to Shelby that Patty is "Mines".  Oh, and Pete and Patty even got to watch a few episodes of Dora the Explorer to sharpen up on their Spanish skills. 

This is such a great idea!  Thanks for creating some fun times in our household...and hopefully, Pete and Patty will make it at least a week....after the tunnel accident, we had to put a Dora band-aid on Patty's knee, since she was bent!

I have been sitting at my desk grinning from ear to ear for about 30 minutes now.  My best friends have emailed me and called and I am still sitting up on cloud nine just looking at my beautiful clients showcased in the new Studio Photography magazine for June.

I am so excited and a little taken back about How happy this makes me I wanted to share it with everyone.  If you want to check it out you can go the link for this month here or here.

Next entry-Fun in Bham

Dear Kristin and the Whispers lovers, Our good friend Pancake Pete came to visit me over the past week or so. Boy did we have an adventurous time! We've played soccer, played poker, skateboarded, swum, eaten burgers, played on the playground, went sight seeing at Vulcan, overlooked Birmingham, watched trains pass through and I even let Pete drive!!! We had one little accident while he was here, but accidents do happen. Today was our last day together and we spent it swimming. Pete is feeling a little waterlogged, so now it's time to say GOODBYE!

New contest entry-Still Itty bitty

Thanks so much for extending the contest. We decided to give it a go even though Claire is still pretty itty bitty. (We have started cloth diapering and I NEED an art canvas with her wearing one of her pretty diapers!!) Because she is young we don’t go out very often but we definitely expand our imagination at home. We thought it would be nice to take Pancake Patty along with us on our imaginative and fun adventures at home today.

The explanation said to take pictures of Pancake Patty by herself first so we did: She starts her day on a play silk, then we move to the toy room, and eventually a well earned bubble bath.

 Claire loved Pancake Patty and we had to make two – the one with reinforcements (a posterboard backing) made it through the day J. Claire wanted to introduce Pancake Patty (#1) to the dogs so that is our first shot together. Then we found out Pancake Patty liked the dogs and Claire was so excited she giggled and gave her a big kiss! Then it was time to show Patty how we play and we started with the blocks, then we went to coloring a picture together (the one she is ripping up was colored by Mom), and eventually we had to show her the “crazy chair” where Claire gets really excited about rocking and Patty (#1) lost an arm in all the excitement. Patty (#2) followed us to the bath and because of her hard work and great attitude, they got to share a bubble bath together (this one worries me a tad about being put on the world wide web).

New entry-Rockin Cool Kid

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Porter's World- Where 3 year olds Rule and are Super Cool! Porter was more than eager to have "Pancase Peep" ( that's Porterese for Pancake Pete) come and play with him. As you can see in our photos, Porter fully utilized their time together.

Porter and "Peep"s adventures together include Rocking Out!, cooking in the kitchen, and trips to see Daddy's firetruck, Porter's preemie cousin John Lucas, and to the park. Porter and "Peep" had a lot of fun hanging out together! Porter had to be creative because he knows that Big Brother Johnathan has been having fun with Pancake Pete too,

and is submitting an entry of his own-OH NO!!!!!!

New entry-Pancakes with Patty

Hello Kristin & fellow Whispers lovers'!  Well, Pancake Patty & Lindsey have a very busy social calendar and here is what they did.  First, they went to Samford University's college graduation and neither Lindsey nor Patty could understand why they didn't get to wear the cool hats!  Then, Mom had to have surgery and was in the hospital for a while and here is Pancake Patty visiting Mom. Lindsey was scared of the hospital so she let Pancake Patty do this one alone!  Thirdly, and this is what I thought was somewhat ironic - Lindsey and Pancake Patty sharing breakfast - which was none other than Patty's namesake - Pancakes!  But Patty didn't seem to mind.  Lastly, real life hits - it always does.  We went to eat lunch and Lindsey decided it was time to play in the flowers and the waterfall.  And she wanted Pancake Patty to help her!  I managed to snap a cute one before they got all wet!  Enjoy!

An Open Letter From A Career Contest Winner

Ok, everyone. The Pancake Pete & Patty Contest is Heating Up. I'm a two-time winner of Kristin's contests, so I decided to sit on my hands and give someone else a try. We need more entries, so it's your turn to enter.

Take my word for it when I say that you should take advantage and enter your photos NOW!!
